Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi said that within a few days trains will start running between Agartala and Akhaura. He said this on Monday afternoon at the election meeting at Swami Vivekananda Maidan in Agartala, the capital of Tripura.

Narendra Modi said that there has been a lot of progress in the railway communication system of Tripura. The rail project between Agartala and Akhaura will be completed very soon. The work on the Indian side is already almost over. Bangladesh is also working fast.


Narendra Modi said that the construction of the bridge is going on on the Feni river. He said that in the days to come, Tripura would play a very important role in the communication of the entire region including Bangladesh and the North East region. In this context, he reminded of the 'Diamond Model' promised earlier. HIRA stands for Road, Internet, Rail and Airport Infrastructure. He claimed that this 'diamond model' has been implemented in Tripura.


Attacking the Left Front and the Congress alliance at Monday's rally, the prime minister did not make any suggestive remarks about Tipra Matha, the main tribal party. In last Saturday's election rally, he indirectly talked about Tipra mathads.


With this, in the last 72 hours, Modi stepped twice in the north-eastern state of Tripura. They had two meetings on Saturday. Assembly elections in Tripura will be held on February 16 and assembly elections in the northeastern states of Nagaland and Meghalaya on February 27. The results of the election will be declared on March 2 after the elections in the three states.
